Redesigned core lectures on manipulation and perception, integrating modern pipelines and semantic mapping. Responsibilities included redesigning exercises, conducting oral/written exams, and managing the grading process.
Teaching
I believe that teaching is fundamental to research. Redesigning complex concepts into intuitive lectures helps clarify my own understanding and inspires the next generation of roboticists.
Acted as a stand-in lecturer for key sessions on probabilistic robotics. As a TA, responsibilities included designing course assignments and exams, managing the grading process, and supervising practical programming assignments.
Mentorship
I have supervised multiple Master students on projects related to active perception, fruit mapping, and manipulation. Many of these student projects have resulted in co-authored publications at top-tier conferences like IROS.
Outreach & Public Engagement
I am passionate about making robotics research accessible to the general public. I frequently participate in events to showcase how autonomous systems can contribute to sustainable agriculture and society.
Organized and conducted live demonstrations of mobile manipulators, explaining the fundamentals of robotic perception and planning to thousands of visitors.
Presented a live demonstration of active perception and fruit mapping systems at the 40th anniversary of the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
Event Website
Showcased the HortiBot system and its impact on autonomous agriculture during the official visit of NRW State Premier Hendrik Wüst to the University of Bonn.
